The Pleasure Gardens is a new window mural by artist Colette Whittington celebrating the hidden history of Thatto Heath's forgotten Victoria Pleasure Gardens.

Developed through a programme of community participation, the artwork draws on discoveries made by local residents, and participants who took part in printmaking workshops, archive research sessions, and guided walks. Together, they explored local stories, historical records, and traces of the former pleasure gardens to create a collective response to this unique piece of local heritage.

The mural is the culmination of this shared journey of discovery, bringing the past into the present through art and community collaboration.

Join us to celebrate the unveiling and learn more about the stories that inspired the work.
