Rediscover Thatto Heath: History, Nature & Creative Making
Come and celebrate the hidden history of Thatto Heath.
In the mid-1800s, Thatto Heath was home to the much-loved Victoria Gardens Pleasure Park - a vibrant civic space created for joy, discovery, entertainment and wonder.
This summer, Thatto Heath Library and artist Colette invite you to rediscover this remarkable heritage through a unique programme of talks, walks and hands-on creativity.
Be part of the creative process
By taking part, you won't just be learning, you'll be actively shaping a new commissioned artwork.
Your ideas, experiences and creative responses will help inform the design of a vinyl artwork installation on the windows of Thatto Heath Library, leaving art inspired by local people and local history.
What to expect
Across three engaging sessions, you'll:
- Explore the landscape with a guided nature walk and talk, mapping the original pleasure gardens
