A Creative Words Handbill

SugarRush

Got a story to tell? Submit to our St Helens writer's handbill.

We're on the lookout for short, punchy stories (400 words or less) from the people of St Helens. Whether it's fiction or even a bit of narrative poetry (150 words or less)—we're into it.

SugarRush cannot pay you for sharing your work we're afraid, but we promise to create a smart, hyper-interesting printed handbill of the best writing around. Available in all St Helens libraries and other cool places across the borough.

Write it. Check it. Then send it our way.

Submit digitally HERE. (Max 400 words or 35 lines.) By midday on 20th November 2025 or post your typed submission to SugarRush Team, Arts In Libraries, St Helens Borough Council, Chester Lane Library, Four Acre Lane, Clock Face, WA9 4DE. Please include your works title, full name and email address/contact details.

Our guest editors will get back to you. Any questions? Contact us at ArtsService@sthelens.gov.uk

Many thanks,
The SugarRush team.
