Stories - whether we read them or write them - are dangerous, scary, emotional, funny, joyful worlds we can safely visit. In a writing group we can be with people like us - creative, and imaginative - and realize we can all do this writing thing.

Thatto Heath Writers
We meet once a month at Thatto Heath Library on a Tuesday afternoon to develop our creativity and to write. We do this writing in the sessions. We are serious about writing, but are very happy to laugh, eat biscuits and share a cuppa. The group is full, but if you want to go on our waiting list, contact us.
Newton-le-Willows Writers
We are an evening group at Newton-le-Willows Library - especially useful for those people who work in the days - but who also want to write. We write prose, poetry, drama, anything with words. The session is led by Kevin Dyer, poet, playwright, prosist (if that is a word!)
The Cut Glass Writers
This is a weekly 'Writing for Wellbeing' group. Terry is the host and chair of a session where people bring in work they've written at home, where writing is done around the table, and where people support each other to write their best stuff. This group frequently performs its work live to guest audiences.
